Summer is coming to an end (although here in the South, we will continue to have sweltering heat until October!) so here is a post for a fun, warm weather activity before Fall is here.

We used our paper from our marbling activity with shaving cream to make the ice cream scoops. If you haven’t tried making marbled paper yet, I highly recommend it! It is amazing and SO easy!
We started by tracing a circle with a large top (that happened to be from a gelato container!) onto the marbled paper.
Other supplies for this activity include:
- Cardboard
- Glitter glue and white glue
- Yarn or twine
- Felt
- Pom Poms
- Jewels
We cut some triangles out of cardboard for our cones and glued on some thin yarn for the waffle pattern. We used a toothpick to poke the yarn down because Willa’s fingers were getting sticky and kept pulling up the yarn fuzz.
We decorated our scoops with the embellishments and glitter glue. Once they were dry we glued them down with our cones on colored cardstock.
Don’t they look yummy?!
